Gregory®

Last year i spent 5 months in eastern africa-volunteering in orphanages. This picture was taken on a trip to lake Magadi,kenya, which is rarely visited by tourists - it's extremly hot and dry, so much so that almost no people nor animals can survive there. It was just me and 2 local guys who grew up around that area (i'm only 23, and a female.. that's why it was a stupid move on my part. but it ended up being fine). We walked for hours that day and ran out of water. Just when it got dark, we arrived to a tiny masai village. The most beautiful moment was right after that - when the entire village came to look at me, and i was told i was the first mzungu (white person) that has ever been to the village, and the only one most of the people there have ever seen up close.
