Here's the difference between Plus Size fit and Standard Size fit:

Designed with unique contours and specialized dimensions, the plus-size fit shoulder strap is more than added length. Its specialized design delivers 3-key differences to provide the correct fit for larger body shapes.
LENGTH: By increasing the proportions along with the shape of the contoured shoulder strap the length is extended where it's needed to provide maximum comfort.
WIDTH: The fit is revised to wrap over the shoulders at a wider angle than standard fit harnesses, providing a wider footprint and a more comfortable carry.
ADJUSTMENT ACCESSIBILITY: Access to the shoulder harness load lifter adjustment are made more accessible by moving the hardware closer to the wearer along with extended sternum/chest strap lengths.

Whether you are on a day hike or an overnight backpacking trip, two design changes make our plus size hipbelt a game-changer when it comes to comfort on the trail.
LENGTH: Extended padding and support provides comfortable load transfer all the way around your hips and in combination with the extended webbing length will fit up to a 60" waist.
POCKET ACCESS: We've moved the quick-access pocket location to the front of the hipbelt, to ensure you have the quick access you expect from hipbelt pockets.

That being said, our testing and recognition of diverse body shapes has taught us that if you are more comfortable wearing the top of your hipbelt higher than the recommended 1” above your iliac crest due to your unique body shape, we recommend you consider down-sizing one torso length size. This will allow you to wear the pack higher on your hips and still have a smooth harness wrap over the back of your shoulder, which is key to achieving ultimate comfort on the trail.

A: At this time we are excited to offer all plus size packs in the US and Canada. We are always open to new retailers, so hit us up if you have a favorite dealer you want to see carrying plus size products.
A: Check out our online retailers (both in the US and CA) if we are sold out of something.
A: For packs without a hipbelt, we recommend you go for the Plus Size offering. For packs with padded hipbelts, if the measurement around your waist/hips where you are most comfortable wearing the pack is less than 40 inches, we recommend you purchase the Standard Size fit pack to ensure the hipbelt straps can tighten snuggly around your body.
A: Our plus size packs are designed to follow Gregory’s standard torso length sizing. This is based purely on your back length and you can learn more here about how Gregory torso sizing works. A: Backpacking: The Katmai/Kalmia and Stout/Amber are great options for users looking for a backpacking pack. The Stout/Amber (entry level) are on-the-back, fully adjustable packs and the Katmai/Kalmia (premium) are ventilated, adjustable packs. Hiking: The Citro/Juno H20 are a great option for a ventilated pack with hydration, the Miwok/Maya are on-the-back customer favorites, the new Arrio is a streamlined, unisex pack and the smaller Stout/Amber are fully adjustable and a great option. Everyday: The Nano collections are great all around packs for everything from travel to commute to the farmers market. The Arrio and Miwok/Maya make great packs for every day use as well, and are a good hybrid trail pack.
A: We have a whole tutorial on our website, but in summary your torso length is from your C7 vertebra to your iliac center. Your torso length is not the same as your tshirt size or height. Our sizes range from XS to L and we always recommend visiting a local dealer to have someone help you with pack fit.
A: All of our women's packs are designed to fit the anatomy of the female body. This means a hipbelt angled to fit the shape of a woman's hipbones and a shoulder harness that is shaped to work with a woman's bust and allow for a smooth wrap over the shoulder. We also provide smaller torso lengths in women’s packs to accommodate shorter women, as proper torso length is a key element to achieving the best fit.
A: Our packs are designed with hand-crafted prototypes made by skilled artisans at our headquarters in Salt Lake City, USA. We have four manufacturing partners around the globe who help us develop and manufacture our products. Nearly all of our products are made with our long-term partner in the Philippines, with a couple products produced in China, Thailand and Vietnam. Cutting and sewing packs is a very intricate and human craft, and there are few partners in the world that can build to our technical and quality standards. We prioritize relationships and quality, which is why we’ve only had a few factory relationships over the last 40+ years. We make some of the most premium technical product in the world and are incredibly proud of the partnerships we have developed to bring our customers the most quality outdoor gear for their outdoor adventures.

Since 1977, Gregory packs, bags and adventure travel gear have earned an unmatched reputation for quality and reliability. We don’t build products to last a season or two—we build them to provide you with a lifetime of enjoyment.
